Library

The loans are provided based on a user’s request in the Charles University Discovery service. About the completion of the request, you will be announced by an email.

 

REQUEST  IN-HOUSE LOANS AT LEAST A DAY IN ADVANCE BY EMAIL (lenka.vorubova@ff.cuni.cz), they will be ready an hour after the opening hour of the following day. To the body of the email please write the author, titul, and ALL LOCATIONS + when you plan to borrow or study it.

The users may use the lending and other services during these opening hours

Monday 9:30 am – 12:30 noon 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Tuesday 9:30 am – 12:00 noon 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Wednesday 9:30 am – 12:30 noon 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Thursday 9:30 am – 12:30 noon 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

 

Electronic registration of users!

From 1 December 2019, all users are centrally registered to all libraries of Charles University via an electronic application (https://library.cuni.cz/e-application/). After you log-in with your CAS (SIS) details, you have to fill only your permanent residence and email. When it is sent, the student is registered as a user. It can be done on your device as well.

Circulation rules

To the Department of Art History Library at CU FA applies “Charles University Library and Circulation Rules” supplemented and extended by “Circulation Rules and Regulations of the Faculty of Arts of Charles University” – More information here. (https://www.ff.cuni.cz/home/library/library-circulation-rules/)

Regular loans can be borrowed only from the part of the collection that is specified as such, locations U-1-, a U-A1-, U-HM-, U-FD-, U-VDA- .

Regular loans cannot be borrowed if the book was published before 1945, or when they are damaged or not bound. The decision of borrowing these books is within the competence of the librarian.

Documents from the reference library, historical collections, and theses collection are intended only for in-house use.

In compliance with the library rules, it is possible to borrow books with the status “01 – in-house” for a weekend or overnight.
